Here is a question that I often get asked: “Why are there no men’s conventions?”

Immediately, depending on where in the country you live, you might object to this. There are men’s conventions. Several gospel partnerships organise Bible teaching days for men, many of them in the autumn term. Events have taken place in the South West and Sussex, and there will be events in the Midlands in November and in Kent in the new year. There are probably others.

The real question is: why have women’s conventions grown so much more? From the South East to the South West, across the country: Norfolk, Cambridge, Birmingham, Nottingham, Wigan, Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees, and Edinburgh, hundreds of women gather to be taught God’s Word.
