As users of Facebook will know, profile pictures of UK users became awash with rainbow flags.
None of this was shocking, until one scrolled down one’s ‘friends’ list and saw what one thought were one’s Bible-believing friend’s faces (or those of their children / cats / recent holiday destination) covered with a watercolour wash of rainbow hue.
