This is the standout volume of this interesting new series. Salter takes wrestling with the text seriously and engages imaginatively with how it is to be read in our cultural moment.
Bonus book: One other to watch for in 2025 is by Kevin Vanhoozer called Mere Christian Hermeneutics (en review forthcoming). It is brilliant! Worth the price of the book for his reflection of the Transfiguration of Jesus as a lens for thinking about the nature of Scripture.
