How will you use the opportunity this Christmas to tell others about Jesus?
In all the busyness and excitement of the season, as Christians we have good news to share, and many ways in which we can engage with those around us to bring them the life changing gospel.
I am a midwife and work with some great colleagues. Few know Jesus. I’m aware that having integrity and showing kindness throughout the year gives me a platform to tell others about Jesus especially at Christmastime.
For several years I have sewed felt tree decorations including embroidered white bells and little red hearts. These have been prettily wrapped with a few chocolates, a gospel tract and an invitation to a carol service. I’ve had smiles of delight, polite appreciation – and I’ve found a few tracts in the bin!
Faithfulness is my responsibility and privilege; fruitfulness is God’s job.
Gospel seeds have been sown. I can leave it with God and may only know in eternity where any fruit came. Faithfulness is my responsibility and privilege; fruitfulness is God’s job. If I don’t see any results, I don’t need to be discouraged because God is sovereign. If some become Christians, I can’t be proud – because it’s His work to save.
So, this Christmas, how will you let your gospel light shine among your family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues? Be imaginative. It need not cost a fortune, but some may gain the treasure that will last for all eternity.
