This is a ten minute gospel video designed to give away to friends or on door-to-door. In today's society of viewers rather than readers, this is a bold attempt to provide a cheap and powerful tool for evangelism.
The presentation is based around the idea of winning combinations, whether it be the chemicals in a match or the numbers in a lottery. Christ provides the winning combination for life. The fact of sin, the necessity for the cross and the required response of faith are explained by John Masters in a simple, attractive and helpful way.
When I watched the video with a respectable, 'religious', non-Christian neighbour she said it was good. However, John Masters makes some fairly abrasive comments about 'religion' (which in one sense we understand) and that did not go down well as she thought that the 'church' had helped her through life. But the video reminded her again that God loved her personally and opened up a conversation, in which I was able to speak to her about personal salvation through the Lord Jesus.
The weakness of the video in my view is that man's response to God's salvation and its benefits are emphasised before the holiness and sovereignty of God, but I believe a video like this is a good idea.
