I wish I had had this book 25 years ago. It would have saved me a lot of work! It is really a huge catalogue of works (sermons and treatises) in the Puritan and Reformed tradition from John Owen (and before) to John Murray (and after).

These are arranged under a topical index (262 pages) covering scores of subjects (e.g. assurance, election, marriage and family, prayer and providence) and a Scripture index (187 pages) as well as several shorter lists of biographies, ordination sermons, etc..

The author, Robert P. Martin, has accomplished an immense 'labour of love' and he maps for us the riches of a great tradition which may otherwise lie buried in our libraries (he has kept to recently published works). Used wisely, such treasure will enrich any life and ministry.
