WHY Y2K?
By John Blanchard
Evangelical Press. 118 pages. £2.95
ISBN 0 85234 433 3

Classic John Blanchard - a straightforward, easy-to-read, evangelistic book dressed in millennium clothes.

After a chapter about the millennium, it moves on to the reliability of the Bible. Most of the book is an account of Jesus's life, death and resurrection, in plain English. But without the great pictures of Ultimate Questions. Plenty of good quotes, e.g. p.69, John Stott: 'The hour for which (Jesus) had come into the world was the hour in which he left it.' It would be good to have the references for such quotes. A minor criticism: chapter 9 seems to break the flow a bit. Crystal-clear gospel and definitely an excellent gift for not-yet-Christian friends this Christmas.
