SORTED

Sorted aims to get Christians moving, especially in evangelism. David Wilson, now the national director of Agapé, writes out of many years' fruitful work as an evangelist and disciple-maker.

He begins by looking at our own relationship with God, covering the gospel foundations and showing how God equips and enables for service. He then moves on to chapters about personal witness, world vision and leadership. There is a helpful bibliography at the end, including some useful-looking websites.

The book is very clearly aimed at the general Christian reader. The tone is light and friendly, there is a definite absence of jargon. The author draws helpfully on his own experiences, but also includes a quantity of good biblical material. This is handled with a deft touch, orthodox without being ponderous. The positives are emphasised - Scriptural promises rather than warnings, comfort rather than rebuke.

I suspect that this book would be most help to a jaded or disheartened disciple, giving him a strong boost back into active service. Buy it, read it, enjoy it, do it and be blessed.
