NEVER TOO LATE
10 tips to change the course of your life
By Lowell Sheppard. Monarch. 158 pages. £6.99
ISBN 1 85424 722 3

The structure of this book is quite fascinating. A young man’s father had recently died, with whom he had had a strained relationship that improved in the father’s later years.

In his father’s will there were instructions given to the young man by a series of letters to be opened in sequence, directing him to various different places. Each chapter is a different letter, leading to a different direction and a different location. Thus a ‘life lesson’ is learned, stage by stage, step by step. The challenge is to break free from mediocrity and take risks.
