THE DESERT IS ALIVE
By David Lundy, Gary
Corwin and Gail Martin. Authentic Media. 168 pages. £7.99
ISBN 1 85078 697 6

The Desert is Alive is an inspirational story for anyone interested in or committed to mission. Published to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the work of Arab World Ministries (AWM), the book details the growth of the church among Arabic-speaking Muslims; springs of living water that have trickled down through history in a seemingly barren land.

Divided into six parts, we are shown how living water creates new life, sustains new patterns of living, nurtures relationships, enables new adventures in faith, extends the kingdom, and ‘has a lighter side.’ Along the way the authors introduce us to a cross-section of people — local and expatriates, believers and searchers, yet all impacted by the gospel. There is also a section on the history of the mission, its expansion and the amazing ways in which God has answered prayer.
