The Message of Jeremiah by Chris Wright is a new volume in the popular Bible Speaks Today (BST) series of commentaries. It replaces an earlier, much slimmer work (176 pages) by Derek Kidner.
Like the best volumes in this series, Wright’s work will have a wide appeal. It provides a sure guide for the general reader wanting to get to grips with one of the longest books in the Bible. There is a helpful introduction which, while it deals with some technical detail, does so in a way that provides useful orientation for the reader.
