This book consists of 43 short chapters on the subject of faith.
Each can be read as a self contained meditation. The stated aim is to flesh out what it means to live by faith. Its premise is ‘that the strength and glory of faith lies not in anything in us, but wholly in our Lord Jesus Christ’(p.13). Rooted in the Bible, the teaching of the book is also reinforced with quotations from church fathers, reformers, puritans, theologians and hymn writers. In fact we are being treated here to the distillation of years of reading and reflection by this author, but contracted to a useful concentration span.
