It is a collection of the late Harold Faithfull’s messages and Bible studies selected by his son Nigel. A very interesting biography of Harold Faithfull (1913–1995) is given at the start of the book.
These studies are accurate and simply explained in their biblical / historical context and helpfully applied. It would therefore be appropriate to give this book to someone who is new to the Christian faith as well as to someone who wants to deepen his knowledge of the Word. The chapters are short, making them accessible and useful both for daily devotions and small group Bible studies.
It is clear that Harold Faithfull loved the Word and loved his God. This doesn’t come across in an ostentatious way, but in a somewhat ordinary yet real way in which the loveliness of Christ shines more.
