GROWING GOD’S GIFTS: The Fruit of the Spirit

This is a lovely book to receive. On a purely superficial front, it looks and feels lovely, and it’s also wonderfully laid out and illustrated. But, more importantly, when it comes to wanting to explain the fruit of the Spirit to little people, it’s a treasure chest.
The language it uses determines that this book isn’t for toddlers; but it would suit the active spongy mind of a four-year-old upwards. And you wouldn’t read it all in one go, as it is helpfully broken up into chapters, talking about one gift at a time.
It’s not lyrical or rhyming language, but the sentences are short and clear and punchy. The text is stuffed full of descriptions of God’s character and the wonders of our relationship with Him. It’s clear, it’s comprehensive and it includes the gospel. Every Christian family with young children and every church bookstall should have this book.
