John Piper is a theologian, pastor, author and Chancellor of Bethlehem College & Seminary in Minneapolis.
Every few days Piper looks at a question that has been sent in for reflection and impartation of Biblical wisdom. There are nearly 2,000 episodes of the podcast, and it seems to still be going strong!
This episode (#1645), Piper answers the question, ‘Should We Watch for Signs from God’. Piper carefully tackles this question and discusses the providence of God. Piper has a wonderful way with words and can communicate to the layman and theologian alike.
If you listen to the podcast on the Desiring God website, you can follow along with the transcript which is laid out in a helpful way; especially when Piper breaks his answers down into a few (or sometimes several) points. I found it beneficial to listen and read the transcript as the podcast played out.
This podcast, that has been active for nearly ten years, does not shy away from the difficult subjects. Nor does it decline to answer questions that may be more niche.
The answers may not always be short, but Piper’s love for God and the Scriptures ooze out of every sentence. His desire for his listeners to understand and to partake in the worship of God with their lives and bodies is also vibrant in every episode.
