Three mates having a chat

TAKE A PEW PODCAST

The producers describe this podcast as quirky chats with Christian ministers. Their story, the travails of their ministry, their favourite things, and a fabulous dinner party. ‘Very silly, with some serious bits.’

Take a Pew (TAP) is a pithy little podcast that looks at fun things through the lens of Christianity.

I had the pleasure of listening to the latest episode from 17 July, where three vicars discussed their top five favourite films. The three vicars are Revd Potter, Revd Holy (ironic, I know), and Revd Heaney.

The podcast takes the form of three mates having a chat. I laughed, I was surprised (with some of the film choices). However, this is an honest, short podcast that would be perfect for a tea break on a busy day at work!

What I like most about this podcast is that it helps to show ministers, vicars, pastors, etc., are normal people who like and enjoy normal things – like movies! If you’re interested, here are my top five films (in no particular order):
1. Back to the Future
2. Forrest Gump
3. Hot Fuzz
4. The Fugitive
5. Matilda.
