Faithplay says that it brings all the best Christian podcasts into one easy-to-use app.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve reviewed a number of apps. This by far is the most diverse of contributors.
Essentially, Faithplay is an app that is full of podcasts of sermons. It’s pretty simple. Open the app, choose a topic, verse or favourite preacher, and press play.
YouTube has, over the years, become the home to millions of sermons. You can watch whatever preacher anytime, and the archive goes back years. You just have to type their name into the search bar and you’re off! Faithplay, however, makes just the audio available so it can be listened to at work, in the car, on a run or just in the background of doing the mundane everyday tasks.
As previously mentioned, the list of contributors spans the whole theological spectrum. You can listen to Reformed preachers, charismatic preachers, very non-charismatic preachers, and everyone in between. Think of your favourite preacher, they are probably on this app.
The app is easy to use and it’s simple to find what you want to listen to. Some will question the inclusion of certain preachers on this app over disagreements with theology. However, if you can look past those inclusions and only listen to who you enjoy (or agree with), this app could be a blessing to those who wish to keep up with sermons from their favourite teachers (outside their own pastor, of course!)
