Honest, rough and ready

UNASHAMED
with the Robertson Family
www.unashamedtruth.com

This podcast is a spin-off from Duck Dynasty, which according to Wikipedia is an American reality television series that first aired from 2012 to 2017. The series portrayed the lives of the Robertson family, who became successful from their family-operated business, Duck Commander.

The podcast says of itself that Duck Commander Phil Robertson, his sons Al and Jase, and his nephew Zach take you beyond the four walls of the church to experience God’s word, study the Bible, and hear fun and inspiring stories of faith and family.

Confession; I have not watched a single episode of Duck Dynasty. I couldn’t tell you the names of the people in it or what it’s really about beyond what I discovered on Wikipedia. All I know is that some guys chase ducks and they are apparently men of faith.

The show is presented by Phil Robertson, his sons Al and Jase, and his nephew Zach. It is really a discussion about real life. The ups, downs, and the in-betweens. Yet, the discussion is centred around God’s faithfulness and his working through the different things we experience in life.

The exposure that this family have given Jesus in the mainstream media is quite staggering. Their show ran for five years on a major US TV network and is still available to stream on many platforms today. The podcast has nearly 1,000 episodes. Robertson has written books, given much money to charitable organisations and even has an official devotional NKJV Bible in print.

This podcast is honest, rough and ready, but real. If you enjoyed Duck Dynasty and its quirky characters, you’re sure to enjoy this podcast.
