Sorting wheat from chaff

RELEVANT
www.relevantmagazine.com

RELEVANT is a multimedia company who describe their purpose as being to impact culture and give voice to what God is doing in and through our generation.

We live in a world where anything we want to see is at our fingertips. Want to see a live view of Niagara Falls? Done. Want to order your favourite food straight to your door? Easy. Want to watch one of millions of films instantly? Child’s play. Yet, in a world of such abundance, how do we sort the wheat from the chaff?

This website says that it aims to provide culturally relevant (get it?) reviews, articles, and media concerning what is going on in the world around us. The website is pitched ‘twenty and thirty-somethings’. As a ‘thirty-something’, I can appreciate the aesthetic and topical appeal. It’s a website I like the look of and want to spend time on. The navigation of the website is however not the easiest.

The topics are almost endless. Faith, life, culture and justice, to name a few. There are articles on how certain movies help us rethink life itself, all the way to why McDonald’s prices are too high.

There is also a subscription service which offers the typical ad-free perk, podcast access and the top-level subscription also gets a printed version of the magazine.

If we can ignite the age demographic that RELEVANT is aiming for to think and act in reaction to what is happening in the world around them, the gospel can only impact more and more people who need to hear it.
