West Hill Baptist Church welcomed their new pastor, Kyle Rader, and his wife Jolene into ministry and membership on 11 January.
During the induction service, General Secretary for Grace Baptist Association (SE) Paul Spear delivered a charge to the new pastor and his church from Colossians 3.1-17. He reminded them of the three contrasts on which the Christian life is based; life and death, heaven and earth, old and new.
He exhorted Kyle to focus his ministry on life and heaven, and in helping the church move from the mindset of old communities defined by race, culture or religion to embrace the new community chosen by God, which should be characterised by honesty, forgiveness, kindness and love.
