Following the success of the last three years, The Midlands Women’s Convention is back in 2015 with not one, but two dates to choose from.
The Midlands Women’s Convention was born in 2012 when, in the previous year, 1,000 women came to hear the Bible taught at the Northern Women’s Convention. The day had completely sold out with many turned away. The committee knew lots of these women had travelled from the Midlands, so they took the plunge and planted The Midlands Women's Convention.
Initially there were hopes that 300 women might come. Instead a stunning 600+ women arrived.
When asked to account for this success, chair Liz Cox has one simple explanation: ‘Women love to come to meet Jesus in the Bible.’ This year will cover how faith can free from worry about what others think, inspire in everyday lives to share the gospel, and sustain through times when God seems distant.
On October 10, Clare Heath-Whyte will be teaching women from Luke 7 at Nottingham Cornerstone Church and, the following week, at Solihull Renewal Centre.
