New Spring in the Meadow

Gathering for the induction

16 January saw Spring Meadow Baptist Church, Cradley Heath with a congregation of 150 welcome Julian Eisner into the pastorate of the church.

Folk travelled from Manchester, Durham, Leicester, Suffolk, Kent, Somerset, Chester and other locations in between to be there.

Derek Lewis, an elder of the church, acted as chairman and David Marlow, church secretary, gave a report on the remarkable way that God had led the church and Julian to each other, in a way not dissimilar to the characters in Genesis 24.

Julian spoke of God clearly leading and guiding him and his wife Susan and of clear answers to their specific prayers. After the induction, Jim Waterworth, recently retired pastor of Julian and Susan’s home church, Upton Baptist, Chester, brought God’s Word to both pastor and church from Acts chapters 4.31-38 and 20.17-38. The offerings given were presented as a love gift to Julian and Susan.

Please pray

The church at Spring Meadow actively seeks readers’ prayer support as the work goes forward and develops. All that has happened is thankfully acknowledged as ‘the Lord’s doing which is marvellous in our eyes’.
