A court in York has heard that a Christian teenager was attacked and ‘crucified’ by four work mates due to his religious beliefs, it was reported in mid-June.

The 18-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was mocked for his Christian faith by tying him to a ‘crucifix’ and having crosses daubed over his face and body. He was then burnt with a lit aerosol can.

Four men are on trial accused of religiously aggravated attacks on their work colleague.
