Iuliana, Ava and Adam

The Grange Baptist Church in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, welcomed Adam Robertson as the assistant pastor on 19 November.

Adam, who studied at Moorelands, worked at Hillview Church in Hucclecote, Gloucester prior to the move to Letchworth. Pastor Mark Sewall welcomed Adam and his wife Iuliana into membership of the church. Their young daughter Ava won the hearts of the fellowship when they met her earlier in the year.

Start with God’s love

Simon Duan from Hillview spoke from Mark 9 telling the church to start with God’s love as Jesus was assured of his Father’s love as he commenced his ministry at baptism. The church has to survive the desert times which are the battleground, when there is a need of God’s Spirit. The church must recognise the times: the Kingdom of God is near and now is the time of salvation, when all are to look for God’s grace and favour in mission. As a church, walk together. Just as the disciples were called and Jesus led them, the church now follows Jesus, who is first in everything. All are living beside each other, not above, as all are partnered together.

The appointment will be for three years. It has been funded in God’s grace by pledges from within the church, a generous legacy, and another gift specifically for extending the church’s ministry. Training fund support was also given to the church and the Lord provided accommodation within walking distance of the church.
