Wales: new outreach to Welsh language communities

The Evangelical Movement of Wales (EMW) is rejoicing after new lockdown opportunities for Welsh language outreach.

EMW’s ministries coordinator Steffan Job writes: ‘This has come about despite the bleak outlook when the plug was pulled on camps and conferences. A bilingual website and other online forums have encouraged participants and leaders alike.

Opening doors

‘Church doors may have closed, but the church was open through ask-wales.org, a bilingual website designed to help churches evangelise. More opportunities to reach out to Welsh-language communities have arisen in past months. Direct contact with people was stifled, so EMW concentrated on supporting churches to reach people through this site. This will be followed up by a new evangelistic magazine due to be launched in the Autumn.
