All Nations’ 90% IT cash boost

All Nations College has announced an ambitious plan to invest in technology for the College after a loss of £170,000 in expected income due to the pandemic.

They are budgeting £51,000 for a two-person team of ICT personnel that they say is needed. The scheme includes an ambitious new ‘Student Management System’ which will help All Nations to track and to manage all student data more effectively.

In addition, it is wanting to invest almost £12,000 in hardware and software. Broadband costs require a £9,000 investment.

Already 40% of students are online, rather than on site at the Hertfordshire campus. The online delivery of cross-cultural mission training is ‘becoming increasingly vital’. The statement from All Nations says: ‘This is not only because of the pandemic, but also because we are aiming to train even more Christians for mission in Asia, in Africa and in Latin America. These are the regions of the world which are now home to 80% of the global church.’

The total investment of £91,000 will represent a 90% increase in investment in IT by All Nations College.

The large loss of income has been due to conferences and accommodation costs taking a hit due to Covid restrictions.
