Bryn-y-groes

Welsh evangelicals have started a new phase of theological training, bringing fresh life to a well-known Christian conference centre.

The Evangelical Movement of Wales (EMW) centre, Bryn-y-groes, Bala, North Wales, has welcomed its first post-lockdown group in the form of the EM Theological Training Course.

Gwydion and Catrin Lewis, Centre Managers, said: ‘The EMW course was an ideal first group for us, since it is smaller in number than youth camps, and the nature of the event was easier to risk assess than an activity-filled camp.

Alun Johnson, one of the students on the course said: ‘How wonderful it was, once again, to go for early morning walks with brothers in Christ and chat over a coffee, as well as study the Scriptures and praise our God together in song! ... A huge challenge still awaits centres such as ours. We need prayer for safety and confidence in restarting residential Christian events.’
