The Evangelical Alliance (EA) says it has been a victim of a ‘significant’ cyber-attack.

In a statement, EA said it was ‘deeply pained’ that its database had been compromised.

Later, in a message to its members, the organisation added: ‘So far, from our investigation and analysis of the data involved, we have been unable to discover with certainty what data of yours we held or what has been stolen.’

The EA confirmed that staff had not been working at EA’s HQ since the attack, which happened over the Easter weekend, and were due to work remotely for another week as en’s deadline approached. The EA has promised to strengthen its security measures.
