Rico full-time with Christianity Explored

Well-known evangelist Rico Tice will be working for Christianity Explored Ministries (CEM) full time from next September, it has been announced.

For the past 21 years Rico (56) has worked for both CEM and as Senior Minister for Evangelism at All Souls Langham Place.

However, as his children near their teenage years, Rico and wife Lucy want to ‘create more space for their family’, according to CEM, ‘and that means doing one job at a time rather than two’.

The move away from central London will give Rico the opportunity to experience evangelism ministry in a smaller church setting – more typical of the kinds of churches running CE courses.

Rico joined All Souls in 1994, during the later years of the ministry of John Stott, with Richard Bewes as Rector. He helped develop the CE course in the late 1990s.

Rico, Lucy and the family will maintain a strong connection with All Souls by being mission partners and Rico says he is very much looking forward to learning lots as part of his local church’s outreach in Ealing.

‘The role of evangelist at All Souls Langham Place is one of the most well-positioned in the world,’ says Rico ‘and I really feel that after 28 years it is time to hand that on to a younger person who can speak into this generation.’
