At the event, speaker Rev. Dr. Jonny Gibson, Professor of Old Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary, delivered a message from 1 Timothy 4. He emphasised particularly the need for consistency of lifestyle and doctrine in Christian ministry.
‘It was encouraging to see a broad cross-section of the Seminary’s supporters at the service, including the families and churches of those completing their studies,’ shared Vice-Principal David Green as he reflected on the evening, ‘It was also encouraging to see how God works in the lives of individuals who go into Christian ministry through a great variety of routes. There is no such thing as a typical London Seminary student, any more than there is a type of person who becomes a pastor.’
