Influential pastor, preacher and writer Bruce Milne has died.
Milne, whose doctrinal handbook Know the Truth has been used by generations of evangelical students and ministers, had a global reach through his work.
He served in ministry in Scotland, in teaching doctrine at Spurgeon's College, London, and as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Vancouver.
As well as writing Know the Truth, he also contributed to the Bible Speaks Today commentary series and penned a number of other works.
Writing on the website of publisher Inter-Varsity Press (IVP), British theologian Derek Tidball described Milne as "an outstanding Bible expositor and preacher. Thankfully, the fruit of his preaching was not confined to those who heard him in person, since many benefitted from his rich writings."
And Thomas Creedy, IVP Publishing Director, wrote: "Bruce Milne's legacy in service of the church will be of great value...
