The rate of progress in Bible translation is greater today than at any point in history, the Wycliffe Bible Translators’ website said in February.
Since 1999, there has been a huge increase in the number of translation programmes being started. In fact, a new project is beginning every five days! The vision of Wycliffe Bible Translators is that, by 2025, a Bible translation programme will have been begun in all the remaining languages that need one. Thousands of languages still do not have a single verse of Scripture.
