Dear Editor,
I feel very disappointed by the contribution by Mr Coulson (Letters, July en). Firstly, if the church across Europe is in ‘grave danger’ is that not a good reason for staying in the EU to encourage and strengthen our brothers and sisters who are not guilty of apostacy?
The final point about a Muslim mayor being elected in London leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. Are we saying its ok to have an agonistic and atheist because they are white British males but not a Muslim, even when he may be particularly qualified for the role?
As Christians we are called to live at peace with all men and to love our enemies. Surely the right response is to uphold our politicians in prayer whoever they are?
Yours sincerely,
