Unlike your correspondent (Letters, January en) I am dismayed to see so many advertisements for various churches.
Considering that the night before he died Jesus prayed ‘that they can be as one’ when so many other things must have been on his mind. I regard this plethora of ‘come to us’ as a complete failure of the Protestant churches to address anything even close to Christ’s prayer.
