Dear Sir,
To start with, my wife and I continue to subscribe to en and find on the whole it still has relevant and often well-researched articles.
However, I would venture to query inclusion of two recent news-related photos. In your December 2019 issue you have a report from the Church Times concerning Peter Tatchell speaking at Liverpool Parish Church. The report comes with a photo of him holding up a LGBT propaganda board.
I would respectfully suggest that a photo of Mr Tatchell without the propaganda message would have been sufficient for en readers. By including the slogan, en is supplying yet more publicity to LGBT and no doubt delighting Mr Tatchell.
In February’s en, readers are confronted with a dominating (almost frightening!) front-page photo of the new Archbishop of York. The report was both rightly critical and to the point. But why such a large photo of the Archbishop? Again, I would suggest that Stephen Cottrell will be delighted with such lavish photographic publicity.
Surely, en would not wish in any way to pander to those who seek to undermine God’s precious truth?
Yours sincerely
