Thank you for printing Michael Haykin’s article ‘An active, mighty thing’ on Paul’s letter to Titus in the March issue of en.
It is indeed the letter of good works, and I would venture to say, sadly, a neglected letter. The neglect may stem from an incipient practical antinomianism abroad in Evangelical circles, but faith works, or as Dr Haykin puts it, quoting Luther: ‘… faith is a living busy, active, mighty thing’.
