Thank you for your brief obituary of my good friend John Wesson in the April issue of en.
With a chemistry degree from Oxford, he brought a scientific mind to many problems. While utterly serious about the gospel and the state of the world, he had a much-needed sense of humour from student days onwards; often hilarious, but never unkind.
For me in 1963 he was the ideal Best Man. Among his many gifts was the supreme talent for spotting and nurturing the gifts of others. He bore his last illness with great courage and will be sorely missed.
