Congratulations to all the team at en! I think I first picked up a copy of en at the back of church, mid-1990s, as a new believer. I remember subscribing in the early 2000s for several years, and trading thoughts on the EU in the letters page with Fred Catherwood!
And as a digital subscriber now, I really appreciate en’s diverse content. Yes, the letters page is still as vibrant as ever (!) and I have always appreciated the mostly positive view of modernity that en offers, rather than the narrative of “everything is getting worse”.
