The start of the 2026/27 football season has seen the Manchester United circus burst back into life, with key players now seemingly in open revolt against the club’s hierarchy.

Things had all seemed a bit rosier (or redder) in the garden; former player Michael Carrick had led the club back to the Champions League following a remarkable run of form under his interim tenure, leaving fans excited for the future under his leadership following his permanent appointment at the end of last season.

However, the Red Devils have endured a disastrous start to this term; they sit 13th in the Premier League with just one win from seven, have been knocked out in the third round of the League Cup and have only won one from three in the Champions League, with their sole win coming against lowly Sabah FK of Azerbaijan.
