World: translation up
The rate of progress in Bible translation is
greater today than at any point in history,
the Wycliffe Bible Translators’ website said
in February.
Since 1999, there has been a huge increase
in the number of translation programmes
being started. In fact, a new project is beginning every five days! The vision of Wycliffe
Bible Translators is that, by 2025, a Bible
translation programme will have been begun
in all the remaining languages that need one.
Thousands of languages still do not have a
single verse of Scripture.
