Here is a carefully argued apologetic for the purposes of God that was acutely relevant to its time and setting. The power of this material is that it spoke to the immediate fears and apprehensions of the listeners in regard to an acutely dangerous situation through which they were passing. It addressed real needs in the context of a real and frightening world. This is not truth in a vacuum.
