THROUGH IT ALL

By Ron and Stella Heath

Many would agree that one of the most terrible things that can afflict a person is Alzheimer's Disease, and the hardship faced by those who care for those who suffer from it is immense.

How helpful to have a little book to put into the hands of such carers! Through it All is subtitled 'Through the Valley of Dementia with Ron and Stella Heath, "Dad" and "Mum" of the Torch Family.'

Ron and Stella worked closely together, under the guidance of God, in the founding and development of the Torch Trust for the Blind. In 1998 Ron began to show signs of the onset of Alzheimer's, and he went to be with the Lord in November 1999. The pathway that he and Stella trod between those dates is charted most helpfully in this little book of 80 pages that Stella has been enabled to write.

It offers no over-simplified answers, and it recounts some times of great agony. But a deep trust in the Lord pervades it all, and it will be of great help and blessing to others whose journey takes them through this valley. It is very moving, and very well-written.
