Having been brought up in a home where missionaries often visited, I greatly appreciate the impact that live contacts, real up-to-date stories and Bible application had on my growth as a young Christian. Over the years being in a mission-minded church has become even more important, constantly challenging and thrilling as we witness God at work in challenging situations around the world.
Mission & Me is a great resource pack. Not only has it been carefully structured to present the different aspects of mission in an interesting way, it cleverly sets out the material in a way that can be adapted to different ages, levels of knowledge and support, and is relevant to all those who will receive any of the lessons – young person, teacher or extended family at home.
Easily accessible
It’s great to see good-quality resources, easily accessible on the stick provided or opened on the Internet. Each of the six chapters contains Bible passages, craft materials, extension ideas and links to real people and situations. Maps, both for display or printable for individual copies, are provided and very helpful. Where the teachers need to provide extras this is simply and easily explained, giving leaders detailed support if needed, or the scope to expand or personalise the lessons.
I have been so encouraged to see such relevant material produced to inspire the rising generation to be excited, informed and educated about God’s mission to rescue us and our needy world. This pack will definitely be very useful to all involved in teaching and learning about world mission.
