Way to pray!

FRESH PATHWAYS IN PRAYER

It was a genuine joy to read and reflect on this simple but profound little book on prayer.

It is biblical in its content, but also wonderfully practical in its application to everyday life. It covers such topics as: when I don’t know how to get (re-)started; when I don’t know what to say; when I don’t feel like praising Him; when I feel too rubbish for God; when I am too frazzled to pray; when God seems invisible and distant; when it doesn’t work for me.

There is also the benefit of simple and straightforward English so that the book is ideal to give as a gift to a new Christian. It can also be a valuable refresher course for someone who has been on the journey of faith for a number of decades.

As the pastor of a church blessed with members of the congregation who are exploring faith or new Christians, I consider this an ideal resource to give away to encourage people in their prayer life. I personally think it is the best introductory book on prayer I have read over the years and I am convinced it will be a real encouragement to Christians who want to pray, but who are currently struggling with knowing how to get started in developing this spiritual discipline.
