Your creative spiritual journal

Good Book Company. 272 pages. £9.99

This book is spiritually challenging in an engaging way. It sets out realistic and creative ways to engage in reading the Bible and entering into prayer life on a daily basis.

The author provides a good starting point for diving deeper into your own spiritual journey. There are two extended reflections of Psalm 103 and Ephesians 3 that provide some direction for study and reflection, but most of the journal leaves plenty of room for recording personal discoveries from reading, praying and listening.

This is a great resource for people who like to be more creative and expressive when reading the Bible and praying; it provides a ready-made format beautifully produced to facilitate that.

It’s exciting to have something that I can start doodling on and putting my ideas in without having to attempt making my own templates. It’s thought provoking, challenging and fun. I particularly like the weekly plan which includes note taking for the sermon; it is nice to have it all contained in one place in one handy journal.

The fact that all of the material is undated means that missing a day or two does not lead to a guilt-trip!
