Youth for Christ (YFC) describe themselves as being about seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus.

Over the years, I have heard of YFC but never been involved with them, or taken the time to research or consider who they really are or what they do.

At a glance, the site advertises articles, resources, research, blogs, and a shop. As you look deeper, there is much more to find.

Varied resources

The blogs and articles are seemingly written by regular people about real life situations and how God has been faithful in their lives.

YFC themselves are involved in local churches, evangelism, schools, and even young offenders. There is also an option to take ‘The Year Out’.

As with many of these ministries, they rely on the generous donations of those that choose to support them.

A recent addition to the YFC website is their RE:QUEST resource page. This resource has been created for school teachers as they navigate teaching Christianity in schools in a post-Christendom world.

The resource page for YFC is clearly a niche market. As far as I am aware, the explicit teaching of Christianity within state schools is only allowed within the context of a religious education subject. However, within CofE schools or more allowing schools this could prove a good tool.
