Guthrie teaches the Bible at her home church, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Franklin, Tennessee, as well as at conferences around the country and internationally, including her Biblical Theology Workshop for Women.
This podcast has the aim of helping preachers to better teach the word of God. Each episode has a different guest speaking on subjects, from not being scared about preaching through the Book of Revelation, to knowing how to put personality and passion into your preaching.
Guthrie has already managed to cover all the books of the Bible with her podcast. It also has episodes that not only speak into preaching specific books of the Bible but also shaping messages for specific audiences.
The tone of the podcast is relaxed but is certainly in the format of a lesson. This is not an easy listening-on-the-way-to-the-office podcast. This podcast is for study – for those who want to learn more about teaching certain books of the Bible.
Guthrie is an accomplished author and Bible teacher. A podcast solely presented by her would be worth listening to on this subject. And her special guests add to the weight of this teaching.
