RAPZILLA
rapzilla.com

This website describes itself as the top source for new Christian hip-hop music, news, and more. With over 23,000 articles over the last 20 years, Rapzilla is happy to help tell the story of Christian hip-hop!

When asked about musical taste, quite a lot of people say: ‘A bit of everything’. Most of the time I’m not 100% sure that’s true. They are normally into one or two genres; maybe a couple more at most. However, one of the comments I have received a myriad of times is: ‘You have quite an eclectic taste in music’. I guess, in some ways, it’s something I pride myself on a little bit. My two favourite genres of music, for example, are heavy metal and show tunes. I also like jazz and grime. So when I came across a website dedicated to promoting the Christian rap scene, it piqued my interest.

The website mainly consists of articles noting the release of new songs and albums. There are news, interviews, and videos. Rapzilla also has a Spotify playlist that (needless to say) I saved to my profile for later listening.

I read the most recent article on their website. It was an in-depth look at a new album release and included an interview with the artist. It was enough information to want to know more and watch the interview in full.

I often find myself thinking about the amazing diversity of the people of God. We are, and will be, a people built from every country, culture, and language. And with culture comes different interests and preferences. It means that the people of God can preach, sing, and even rap the gospel across the world.

My prayer is that Rapzilla will be a tool to reach those particularly interested in rap for the glory of God.
