Nottingham: still building

November 16 saw a gathering of 150 people at Arnold Road Evangelical Church (FIEC), in the north of Nottingham, to celebrate the opening of their new building.

The civic ceremony began with the Lord Mayor of Nottingham cutting the ribbon, after which the pastor declared that the building was dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of God. Other local dignitaries, including the MP and the Chief Inspector of Police, were present. Members participating at the event included a talented reggae singer honouring Jesus in song as the congregation watched a photo animation of the site’s transformation.

Richard Underwood of FIEC spoke of God’s building project and that the church must continue to declare the praises of him who has called us out of darkness into his wonderful light. Another celebration is planned for early next year and other churches are invited and encouraged to get in touch.
