More than 40,000 people have viewed a beautifully-illustrated presentation of Jesus in its first month of being released.
What is Christianity? was created by Christianity Explored Ministries (CEM). Using rich imagery and a voiceover from Thabiti Anyabwile, it tells the story of human history. It’s the story of our creation by God and our rebellion against Him; the story of salvation found only in Jesus.
Animated by Ordinary Folk, an expert motion-design studio, the video combines creative storytelling with the clear communication of the message at the heart of the Christian faith. The voiceover from the author and pastor Thabiti Anyabwile asks the question Jesus asked His followers, ‘Who do you say I am?’, and tells the story of Jesus, from creation to new creation, centred on His death and resurrection.
The video is available to view at christianityexplored.org, which also features testimonies and other resources for those exploring the Christian faith. The website was visited over 300,000 times in 2020.
Commenting on the video, Rico Tice (CEM co-founder and evangelist) said: ‘This is a wonderful summary of the Christian story in just over two minutes. Unique, creative, and so packed full of theology that you can watch it again and again. It makes it clear that the most important question we can ever ask ourselves is the one Jesus puts to His disciples, “Who do you say I am?” Definitely one to share with friends.’
As well as presenting the gospel story in a creative way for those who have never heard it before, the video is a resource to equip Christians in their personal evangelism. It focuses questions about the Christian faith onto the person of Jesus, opening up conversations about His identity as God, His mission as Saviour, and His call for everyone to follow Him.
